Family and friends flew from across the world for Bernadette and Christine’s wedding, creating an interwoven tapestry of culture, language, and love. The ceremony began with what can only be described as a fairytale setting in the “forest behind the barn” where they exchanged very profound and moving assertion of their love and commitment (in English and French).
The cocktail hour was held outside their barn which was adorned with rustic chairs and tables flanked a fire-pit and a brick oven where delicious nourishment for the appetite and the soul were created. A marathon toast session commenced after dinner where some people reviews their tales about Bernadette and Christine.
The First Dance featured At Last by Etta James and went on for four hours of virtually non-stop high-energy dance songs, initially ending with an extended mix of I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor but after chants of an encore The B-52’s closed out the night with an extended mix of Love Shack.
It was a very long day, encompassing 14 hours total of travel, multiple setups, and playing to this crowd, and it was worth every second. I am honored that Bernadette and Christine selected me as their DJ and I wish them a tremendous future with each other.
